Christmas Concert

The next event that is planned for this year is our annual Christmas Concert, which will be held on December 13, 2008 at St. John's Lithuanian Hall. This concert will be your first opportunity to see what your child/children have learned so far this year. Tickets will be going home in mid-November and once again we need your help to make this concert a success.

As with the bake sale, please sign up on the list that is posted outside the Sljeme office. Once again, we need everyone to bring fresh, homemade cakes and cookies to the hall.

Christmas Bake Sale

Our Christmas Bake Sale is happening on Sunday, December 7, 2008. We ask that everyone bring homemade cookies and cakes to the church on Saturday, December 6 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. in order that we may arrange the plates.

Making Egg Noodles

In preparation for our annual Christmas Bake Sale, we will once again be making egg noodles. Egg noodles are one of our biggest sellers as such it will take us 3 weeks to make enough for our Christmas Bake Sale as well as our Christmas Concert.

The noodle extravaganza will take place at the church premises starting with the week of November 17th. Please visit us Monday's and Wednesday's in our office, downstairs, and advise us of your availability. Please pick at least 2 days when you can come and help out. If you do not know how to make egg noodles, this is a great opportunity to learn.

Celebration of Nikola Tavelic

On Saunday November 9, 2008 at the 11 o'clock mass is a celebration of Nikola Tavelic. All members are required to attend the mass in their costumes.

The annual church banquet is taking place Saturday, November 15, 2008. Tickets are now on sale in the Sljeme office.
